Therese commenced her lifelong association with Waratah Brass when she was introduced to banding and the euphonium, at Mayfield West Primary School. The school had an ongoing association with the local brass band, Waratah Mayfield Brass Band (as it was then known) and membership to the school band (and use of an instrument) was conditional upon the student joining the local community band.Almost almost 50 years later, she brings her wealth of knowledge and experience as a player, into the role of Musical Director for Waratah Brass Academy Band. Therese is passionate about sharing her knowledge with musicians of all ages and this is a key driver for WBAB. Therese ensures that Waratah Brass Academy Band is a fun and welcoming environment for players of all standards and experience levels while also striving for quality playing and musicianship.
