Therese commenced her lifelong association with Waratah Brass when she was introduced to banding and the euphonium, at Mayfield West Primary School. The school had an ongoing association with the local brass band, Waratah Mayfield Brass Band (as it was then known) and membership to the school band (and use of an instrument) was conditional upon the student joining the local community band.With almost 50 years of experience as a player, Therese has also taken on the role of Musical Director for WBAB. Therese is passionate about sharing her knowledge with musicians of all ages and standards and this is a key driver for WBAB. Therese, together with the committee and membership of the Waratah Brass organisation are motivated to ensure WBAB remains a band that is welcoming of players of all standards and experience levels.
